Owl's eyes are like humans' in that they have binocular vision. Because the eyes point straight ahead, they can see the same thing with both eyes at the same time, increasing their visual acuity.
 

Barred Owl Mating Call

This is a great example of a barred owl mating call.  Folks in the South say this sounds like "Who cooks for you, who cooks for you all".  Note the trill on the end - this is a female barred owl.
